Getting started
How long does it take to set up Cheerly?
Most teams are up and running in under five minutes. Create a workspace, invite your teammates, and post your first shout-out — no training or IT setup required.
Do my teammates need to install anything?
No. Cheerly runs in the browser and works on any device. We also offer Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations if you'd rather recognize people where you already chat.
Can I import my existing team?
Yes — invite people by email, share a join link, or sync from Google Workspace, Slack, or your HRIS. Roles and departments come across automatically.
Billing & plans
Is the Free plan really free forever?
Yes. Teams of up to 10 members can use Cheerly's core recognition features free, with no time limit and no credit card required.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly billing?
Absolutely. You can switch at any time — yearly billing saves you 20%, and any change is prorated on your next invoice.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards and, on annual plans, invoicing by bank transfer. Enterprise customers can arrange purchase orders with our sales team.
Security & privacy
How is my company's data protected?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We're SOC 2 Type II compliant and never sell or share your data with third parties.
Do you support single sign-on (SSO)?
Yes. SAML-based SSO with Okta, Azure AD, and Google is available on Pro and Enterprise plans, along with SCIM provisioning.
Can I control who sees recognition?
Admins set visibility per team or company-wide, and can moderate the feed. Sensitive fields and private notes are always restricted to the intended recipients.
Rewards & points
How do points and rewards work?
Every recognition can include points. Teammates redeem points from a catalog you control — gift cards, swag, experiences, or time off.
Can I customize the rewards catalog?
Fully. Add your own rewards, set point values, cap monthly budgets per team, and enable or disable any item at any time.
Do points expire?
By default points never expire, but admins can set an optional expiry window to keep redemption active. You're always in control.
